Starting a business is no easy task. Starting from nothing, we had to believe. Discussions between the partners were often emotional. I wanted us to have fun doing what we do, so that whatever happens, the atmosphere stays cool.
You can’t pay for a healthy corporate culture; it has to be forged over time. The culture being crucial for us, we do more than just talk about it; we try to apply it every day. Whether in our interactions, our activities, our creations, or the time we spend together every day, there’s a real desire to achieve balance between fun and work. What’s more, if an employer has to constantly ask what he can do for his employees, this relationship should work both ways. When an employee asks himself, in turn, what he can do for his employer, this is what creates an equitable relationship for all.
With the social club, we went to Mexico, Cuba, the cottage, water slides and so on. It may seem unrealistic for some employers and a dream for any employee, but so far it has been a worthwhile investment. Some in the industry know us by our work, others for this spirit of camaraderie, this culture of sharing and exchange that resonates with us. That's good, because that's probably what we're most proud of.
In a very saturated market, it's important to stay ahead of the game to attract the best in the city. For associates at Locomotive, creating jobs and growing our team with talented people is both our greatest pride and challenge. Today, I realize that we have succeeded as partners in making the most of our experiences while learning from our mistakes. We knew how to trust each other and it ended up paying off. It is a great source of pride for me to belong to this team that is driving Locomotive towards a more than promising future.
