About FHE Group

The FHE Group from Toronto developed Kvell, a contemporary Scandinavian-inspired brand offering affordable, quality furniture and storage units. Kvell means to feel or express extreme pride about something, a phrase that truly speaks to the company’s products and approach to design. “We believe that product can be smart, fun and evoke emotion. Designed to not only look good but have purpose, function well and be built to last.”

Locomotive's work

Initially retained to develop a showcase website to launch the Kvell brand, Locomotive’s mandate was to build the digital brand and develop both the user experience and an intuitive platform to present the product range. In collaboration with Consulat, a content studio from Montréal, a photo shoot was organized to present the products and collections in a colourful and minimalist environment. The platform having already been designed with the potential for online sales, SnipCart technology was incorporated in a second phase to transform the platform into a complete e-commerce experience.

The results

Kvell was born online, so an aggressive approach to getting results was needed. From its Chicago tradeshow launch to the present day, the site that now offers online shopping generated a lot of interest through its clients and distributors, but especially through Apple, the internet giant. The Kvell website is now presented as a demo on the new iPad in all the Apple Stores across Canada, and on the Apple Canada website. Though these results are hard to put a number on, this is prime visibility and choice positioning for a brand that was just barely launched.
